Hello!
Today I woke up naturally at 8:30am which rarely happens, but I embraced it because I like having more than the four daylight hours that I’d usually have when waking up at noon (or later…).
My dad and sister were at work, so I had the house to myself for a few hours. Usually when I have the house to myself, I get Suzie (my guitar) down from my wardrobe and have some guitar and singing time, which I did nicely.
When my dad got home, he sorted out the gutters because they had dirt in them and because he was on the ladder right outside my bedroom window, I sat on my windowsill and chatted to him for a bit.
My grandad comes over on Sundays, so I let him in just as dad was finishing up and made him some coffee and chatted to him and dad for a while before returning to my bedroom to fill in the parts of my coursework essay that I’ve been avoiding for too long.
I don’t know why I didn’t finish it sooner; I actually enjoy writing essays. I even write them for fun sometimes, I’ll have to start posting them if anyone’s interested.
Anyway, I made pasta bolognese for dinner (using Morrisons meat-free mince, which is actually very nice) and because I have absolutely no portion perception when it comes to pasta, I (as usual) ended up making way too much and had to throw at least a quarter of it away because I was too full to manage any more.
Right now, it’s 8:20pm, which means that Sherlock will be starting in ten minutes, so I’m going to go and watch that with my dad (and possibly my sister if she fancies joining us).
I really enjoyed the one on New Year’s Day; Mark Gatiss adding in little snippets especially for the Sherlock fandom without making fun of us was the best thing ever. Fingers crossed that this week’s episode is just as good!
Ash
